Cologne based producer and DJ Sonae released her debut album in 2015 on Monika Entreprise, parallel to her Master of Music at the Folkwang Universität der Künste, she released an album this year "I Started Wearing Black".
Her sonic cosmos is based on electronic experimentations, now and then winking to the techno aesthetic, yet staying away from a functional club approach to her compositions. Her music borrows from noise, drone, and ambient traditions and carries over a sombre and melancholic mood.
She's presented her live sets all over Europe: at the Institut für Zukunft / Leipzig, Roter Salon / Berlin, Uh-Fest / Budapest, Cafe Oto / London ... next to artists like Squarepusher / Warp, Kyoka / Raster Noton.
