Ein Bündel Antifolk Musiker, bitte. Kimya Dawson musiziert zusammen mit Jeffrey Lewis, diese Konstelation ist nicht neu. Mit zwei weiteren Musikern aus Lewis' Band und Singer/Songwriter Karl Blau bilden die fünf die neue Antifolk Supergroup The Bundles. Neu ist hier allerdings etwas übertrieben, schon 2001 haben Dawson und Lewis mit dem Bandprojekt begonnen. Einige Jahre später, 2010, bringen sie ihr erstes Album heraus, wir hören rein.

Die Musik von Dark Dark Dark aus New York klingt ein bisschen wie die von Beirut. Aber die scheinen ja auch das Monopol auf Melancholie-Pop mit Bläsern zu haben. Dark Dark Dark haben aber einen ganz eigenen Charme. Und dass ihre Musik nicht düster klingt, zeigt schon der Titel ihrer neuen EP Bright Bright Bright. Lehnt Euch zurück, es lohnt sich.
