Damiano von Erckert ist ein wandelndes Deep House-Lexikon, Produzent und DJ und trotz noch recht unfortgeschrittenem Alters bereits Besitzer eines Labels namens ava. Die diesen April erscheinende Platte ava. 001 ist eine Kollaboration von Funkycan & Damiano von Erckert mit Christopher Rau und Murat Tepeli, die auf Smallville und Ostgut Ton bereits ihre Fähigkeiten unter Beweis gestellt haben. Der Sound der beiden heute hier an den Plattentellern stehenden Gesellen ist eine Hommage an klassische Deep House und Techno-Tracks aus Detroit und Chicago, standesgemäß umgesetzt mithilfe der guten alten Schwarzplastikscheiben. Wie das klingt und was die beiden in Zukunft noch so aushecken, all das - heute Abend im Plattensport!
