Junges Gemüse & alte Helden
in unserer Februarausgabe treffen wir auf 'everybody's darlin' of the dark', Mr Nick Cave,
der gerade mit seiner Altherrentruppe The Bad Seeds sein 15. Studioalbum vorlegt. Die Kritik feiert es und wir schließen uns an. In etwa genauso lange ist David Thomas als Frontmann seiner Band PERE UBU unterwegs, um die Musikclubs dieser Welt zu bespielen. PERE UBU trumpfen mit ihrem nunmehr 17. Studioalbum, dass wir näher vorstellen möchten. Nicht ganz so alt, aber immerhin auch schon seit Mitte der 80er sind die Indi-Rock Veteranen BIG DIPPER am Start. Sie haben sich jedoch eine längere Auszeit gegönnt, aber nun, im letzten Jahr, endlich wieder ein Lebenszeichen von sich gegeben und auch das stellen wir vor.
Weniger Zeichen, mehr trauriger Anlass, ist der viel zu frühe Tod des englischen Musikers Kevin Ayers, dem wir
heute unseren ganzen Respekt zollen möchten.
Zwischen und nach der ganzen gut abgehangenen Edelkost servieren wir euch selbstverständlich auch noch eine erlesene Sammlung neuer, junger Früchtchen, die Namen tragen wie
