Das Etikett „Original Handarbeit“ wurde zum Markenzeichen für DJ Fangkiebassbetons´ Recording-Stil; schichtweise legen sich, live auf den Plattentellern gedrehte und gekratzte, Sound-Layer übereinander - Sampling ohne Sampler.
Fangkiebassbeton aus Köln ist seit 1991 als DJ und Musiker aktiv. Auf sein Konto gehen unzählige DJ-Live-Sets, etliche Veranstaltungsreihen wie etwa Heimatlos oder Royal Breaks und 3 eigene full length-Alben, die in ihrer vertrackten Sample-Bauweise ihresgleichen suchen.
Fangkiebassbetons Spezialität ist die Mischung aus tanzbaren, aber auch auch kantigen, unbequemen und inhaltsschwangeren Klängen – wie z.B. auf dem Album „Barockin´ Furio“ mit Prof. Dr. Erlhoff, das barocke Poesie mit Plattenteller-Experimenten verbindet.
2004 machte sich Fangkiebassbeton einen Namen durch Aufführungen des Science Fiction-Klassikers „Metropolis“, indem er Fritz Lang`s Stummfilm mit einem selbst zusammengestellten Soundtrack versah, den er live zum Film auflegte.
Heute Abend wird der Tausendsassa sein Talent bei BassMe unter Beweis stellen, wer das verpasst, ist selber schuld.
